What will you learn?

By completing this course, you will be able to:

• Plan and prepare for safe forklift operations
• Operate a forklift truck competently and confidently
• Carry out tasks such as loading, unloading, stacking, and storing materials efficiently
• Follow established workplace procedures and comply with health and safety regulations

Entry requirements:

• Minimum 18 years of age
• 100 points of ID verification
• Ability to understand and communicate in English
• Ability to demonstrate listening skills during training
• Have a USI (Unique Student Identifier) or create one here

Full Qualifications:

• Expand your skills and knowledge with a TLI30321 Certificate III in Supply Chain Operations.
• Gain further expertise with a Certificate IV in Logistics.

Short Courses and Skill Sets:
• Gain essential workplace skills: Combine this course with First Aid (HLTAID011) and the TLIF0025 Follow Work Health and Safety Procedures course to strengthen your workplace safety skills.
• Prepare to Work Safely in the Construction Industry: Complete the CPCWHS1001 course to gain the mandatory safety induction for construction work in NSW.

Assessment and Licensing:

• All participants are required to go through an assessment to be issued with a Statement of Attainment. This unit of competency is nationally recognised.
• Once the SafeWork assessment has been successfully completed, you willreceive a SafeWork Notice of Satisfactory Assessment (NSA) which is valid for 60 days. A fee is then payable at Australia Post for the license card which is nationally recognised to be issued.

Your certificates, transcripts and other entry requirement evidence must be certified through a Justice of the Peace or other authorising officer. NTO can provide this service if required.

• Cooling-off Period: You are entitled to a statutory cooling-off period.

Credit Transfer and Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

NTO recognises skills from other sources besides formal training. If you have prior experience or qualifications, you may be eligible for RPL or Credit Transfer. This process reduces the need for repetition of learning.

RPL Process:

• Request RPL for partial or full qualification.
• Complete the RPL Assessment Kit.
• Trainer interview to assess your experience.
• If required, complete practical assessments.
• Gap training costs will be provided if necessary.
