For Parents and Carers

At NTO, we recognise the pivotal role that parents and carers play in a student's educational journey. We are dedicated to fostering a collaborative environment to ensure your child achieves their full potential.

Supporting Your Child's Education

  • Open Communication: Maintain regular contact with your child's trainers and our support staff to stay informed about their progress and any areas where assistance may be needed.
  • Study Environment: Provide a quiet and organised space at home to facilitate effective study habits.
  • Encouragement: Motivate your child to engage actively in their coursework and participate in available support services.

Available Support Services

NTO offers a range of services to support students and their families:

  • Counselling and Career Development: Our counsellors are available to discuss academic or personal concerns and provide guidance on career opportunities.
  • Disability Services: We are committed to providing reasonable adjustments for students with disabilities or learning difficulties. Please contact our Student Support Officer to discuss your child's specific needs so we can develop an appropriate support plan.
  • Childcare Facilities: For students who are parents or caregivers, some NTO locations offer childcare services. If places are available, children can be enrolled as early as six weeks old up until they are five years of age.
  • Multicultural Services: Support is available for students from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, including language assistance and advice on enrollment procedures.
